Sometimes, some of us are able to make it to the locker room before the tears fall. This was not the case for Victory Wembanyama after game 2 of the 2026 NBA Finals. (See Video Below)
Isiah Thomas said last week, he was with Ervin ‘Magic’ Johnson after a NBA finals defeat in a hotel room with friends and Ervin cried for 10 hours before he feel asleep.
I saw Victor Wembanyama cry years ago at the U-18 Euro games. He threw a major upset fit on the sidelines, then he calmed down just enough to get his 2nd place award, as he stood respectively with pain in his face.
That was the first moment I thought, maybe, just maybe, this young 17 year old basketball player, who looks like a cricket, just might have the ‘right stuff’!
Tonight, with the seven game victory in the Western Conference Finals he demonstrated his ‘STUFF’.
Of course Wemby cried, every great athlete CRIES. it matters to him, immensely, sometimes we just cry, winning or losing, sometimes we cry.
